Infrastructure Week 2023 – Save The Date!
January 26, 2023
Dear Friends,
In 2022, United for Infrastructure became part of Accelerator for America Action; we made that announcement during Infrastructure Week 2022, and we’re excited to announce the dates for Infrastructure Week 2023! Mark your calendars for May 15-19, 2023. Continuing the decade-long tradition of promoting the importance of infrastructure across the country, Infrastructure Week 2023's theme will be Infrastructure Works, and we want you to be an active part of it!
We’ll be following up with more details and resources in the coming weeks and months, but you can count on the fundamentals of Infrastructure Week 2023 being similar to prior years:
Any organization that has an interest in promoting infrastructure is invited to participate, including promotion of transit, surface transportation, workforce, water, wastewater, pipes, ports, airports, broadband, our energy grid, or any of the vast array of projects that fall under the umbrella of infrastructure.
There is no cost to participate in the online and communications aspects of this important week of nationwide focus – any organization can use our provided resources and templates.
Organizations are encouraged to plan their own events, in-person or virtual, for the week of May 15-19.
Please tell us about what you’re planning via the submission form on our website. We’ll be publishing a calendar of events in advance of the week of May 15-19, so please share your plans so we can promote them to all of our followers as we get closer to the big week.
New Steering Committee Members
For more than a decade, United for Infrastructure has been guided by a Steering Committee of bipartisan and diverse groups. We’re pleased to announce the Steering Committee has added two great organizations focused on improving our nation's infrastructure: North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and National League of Cities (NLC).
NABTU is an internationally renowned labor organization representing more than 3 million skilled craft professionals in the US and Canada. They are dedicated to expanding access to union career pathways and educating and training the next generation of the infrastructure workforce.
The National League of Cities has been on the frontlines advocating for America’s cities, towns, and villages for close to a century. Since the passage of the IIJA, NLC has been focused on ensuring that all localities have the resources and support to take advantage of these historic programs and funding, including playing a leadership role in the Local Infrastructure Hub providing direct support to local governments.
We could not be happier to have these incredible partners join our ranks, working alongside us to realize the potential of this moment in history. Please join us is welcoming NABTU and NLC to the United for Infrastructure Steering Committee!
Thank you for your continued hard work!
