It’s more than just how we move. It’s how we live.
Accelerator for America Action is about shaping a better tomorrow through transit and infrastructure investment. As a 501(c)4 non-profit organization, we're uniquely positioned to help cities and regions build innovative projects that connect neighborhoods, create good-paying jobs, and foster a prosperous and thriving future.
Starting in 2022, United for Infrastructure began operating as a project of the Accelerator. As the organizers of Infrastructure Week and serving as the leading advocate for federal investment in infrastructure for a decade, United for Infrastructure has shifted its focus toward the successful implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
$75 Billion in Funding
Since our founding, we have helped infrastructure funding efforts win in Phoenix, Austin, Nashville, Columbus, Cincinnati, San Antonio, Houston, Hillsborough County (FL), and across the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Partnership Highlights
-
Nashville, TN
Accelerator for America Action worked with Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell and the Choose How You Move campaign from planning through Election Day, helping design public opinion research, community engagement initiatives, and messaging. This winning ballot initiative will generate $3.1 billion for transportation and transit infrastructure in Nashville.
-
Austin, TX
In 2020, Accelerator for America Action supported the long-term planning and strategy that led to the passage of Prop A, generating over $7 billion for Project Connect. Since then, Project Connect is gaining national attention for its holistic approach to mobility solutions, governance, and focus on community and placemaking. AFA Action has produced a Living Case Study that documents Austin’s implementation journey for the benefit of other local leaders who will follow in the city's footsteps.
-
Phoenix, AZ
In 2024, Accelerator for America Action supported Mayor Kate Gallego on a campaign to extend a sales tax first passed in 1985 that dedicates funding for transit and transportation investments. This successful renewal will generate approximately $24 billion in the coming years.
